HAVE YOU MET HIM

Two months ago today,
I was happy as a romp,
but now I go for traipse,
to the movies, maybe to the esplanade.

I know I can't camouflage from a memory,
I keep on alleging he'll be back,
nonetheless day after day I've tried,
but today anew I've lied.

I see his face everywhere I go,
on the byways even at the nabes.
Have you met him,
Tell me  have you met him.

I hear his intonation as the breeze blows,
in the sweet music on my stereo.
Have you met him ,
Tell me have you met him.

Why ,tell me why ,
did he have to retire and go away.
I've been bestowed having someone to lean on.
And I'm lost ,I'm lost.

I see his hand reaching out to me,
only he can set me to liberty,
Have you met him,
Tell me have you met him.

As another day comes to a stub,
I'm beholding for an email or something,
anything that he would send,
you know its capricious,
I thought I had him completely.

Have you met him,
Tell me have you met him.
